some people are only visiting, and some people live out of these pay by the day homes. there's even the occasional pay by the hour motel around.

littered all over the city, they range from cramped one bedrooms to several floor penthouses. even the artsy lofts are included in this group of homes for new york residents.

the city that never sleeps. unfortunately, the crime doesn't either.

not every interaction takes place within a building, most new yorkers spend a lot of their time walking the streets, and you can bet there's some seedy dealings going on. of course, there's also bumping into old friends, and making new ones. you never know quite what you'll see on the streets of new york.

arguably the center of new york city life, this mix of billboards and busy streets is one of the most bustling areas of the city, no matter the time of day.

the city university, one stop shopping for all your class needs. whether you're a fulltime student, or a city adult who takes the occasional yoga class at one of the fitness centers. there's plenty of activity on campus.

those skyscrapers aren't there just for show, many people find themselves stuck in cubicles on that 13th floor, or wherever they may be. everyone has a job, and some people even have one with a view from a corner office. either way, don't let looking out that floor to ceiling window give you vertigo.

feel like throwing a heavy ball at some pins down a slippery piece of wooden floor? well you've come to the right place. ten pin alley has only recently opened but offers everything from cheap bar food, to family night, and even glow in the dark laser bowling.

one of the best hospitals in the city. it is well known for its free healthcare program for the needy, as well as its topnotch healthcare for everyone.

one of the largest movie theaters in the city, you'll always find the latest movies here. you can also spend 4 bucks every sunday for a night of the classics, if that's your thing.

from the classiest 5 star restaurant to the cheapest burger joint down the street, everyone has to eat somewhere. hey, not all the hot dog stands are bad, and you never know what charming place you might find hidden in the streets of NYC.

a very beautiful, very large, museum in new york city. there's always interesting work on display, whether it's a permanent collection or featured work, the shows are always changing, and the pieces make it easy to lose a day wandering around this place.
